How Blog Advertising Works?

Blog advertising is one of the online advertising tactics that is increasingly being deployed by online and offline companies to promote their products. Blogs are used as a medium to advertise companies products to potential consumers globally. More and more potential customers are seeking shopping reviews from blogs before they make any purchase decisions. Opinions on blogs are influencing the minds of shoppers directly. Words of bloggers are more convincing to consumers than flashy banners.

Three parties are involved in blog advertising, namely the blog network, advertisers and bloggers. I will talk about the role of each of the parties in blog advertising to better portray the idea of increasing popular blog advertising.

Advertisers make use of the existing and potential traffic of the blog to reach out to potential customers. This provide a win- win situation for advertisers and bloggers as both parties gain profit at the end of the day. Bloggers who are selected for the advertising job get to post more fresh contents on their blogs and profit from what they are already doing each day. Blogs are also places where advertisers may get product feedbacks as consumers tend to provide comments on products that are recommended on blog posts. Be it a positive or negative feedback, companies can make use of the comments to better improve their products from the point of view of customers.

Consumers tend to reject direct advertisements from companies as they feel that companies have vested interest in profiting from them but not genuinely promoting a great product to them. Thousands of new blogs are coming up each day in the blogosphere. Advertisers can use bloggers as a springboard to effective advertising.

The blogging network is the middleman between bloggers and advertisers that provide advertising opportunities from advertisers to bloggers while making their profit. Blogging networks will carefully review the blog that are submitted by bloggers before allowing them to post product contents of advertisers on their blogs. These networks are similar to a job board that offer job opportunities from employers to job seekers. They do their part in bringing the cream of the crop of blogosphere to advertisers.

In conclusion, three parties in blog advertising work hand in hand to bring out effective advertising effect. Blog advertising is a recommended way to be used by advertisers to reach out to their targeted customers and create a buzz on their products. Bloggers do their part in providing credible information to readers while profiting. Blog networks provide the necessary linkage between advertisers and bloggers to make blog advertising more productive.
